Scouting America – Texas Southwest Council is excited to be celebrating their 100 Year Anniversary!  Come help us celebrate their 100th Anniversary with a ribbon cutting accompanied by their new Council office sign! Free and open to the public! Bring your family for Cub Scout fun and games and enjoy trying out the archery and target activities. Join current Scouts and former Scout Alumni in networking and fun! We have been serving the Southwest Texas area since our inception on May 20,1926. We have been proud to serve the 23 ½ Counties surrounding Fort Stockton to San Angelo, Ballinger to Junction, Uvalde, Carrizo Springs, Eagle Pass, Del Rio and Sanderson! We have had over 3500 Eagle Scouts spread along our borders. Scouting America is one of the largest youth organizations in the United States, with more than 2.4 million youth participants and nearly one million adult volunteers. Scouting America’s goal is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations. The program instills typical Scouting values such as trustworthiness, good citizenship, and community service through a variety of activities such as camping, aquatics, and hiking.'
