Phil Neighbors Memorial Scholarship

INTRODUCTION

Education is a gift that lasts a lifetime, and this $1,000 memorial scholarship is a way for the LSAAA to honor alumni Phil Neighbors while carrying his legacy forward to future generations of students. 


INSTRUCTIONS

The Phil Neighbors Memorial Scholarship is open to applicants who are LSA alumni in good standing or children/grandchildren of LSA alumni in good standing and are enrolled or plan to enroll in college or trade school in the next academic year and must submit a completed application by the deadline. If awarded checks will be paid directly to the school.


The attached scholarship application must be completed by the applicant, handwritten, or typed, and must be received by the LSAAA no later than 5:00 pm on April 15 , 2023. In order for your application to be considered, it is imperative that all of the items included in the checklist below be submitted.

Describe the additional education you would pursue with this scholarship award and why you are seeking this additional education.

I hereby certify that the information included in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and permission is given to verify the information contained in this application.  Further, I hereby authorize LSAAA to receive copies of my transcript from my high school and give LSAAA permission to use my name in any release of information to the media for public relations purposes of the association.
